
Mr George W. Sullimann
Auditor-General of Papua New Guinea
The Auditor-General of Papua New Guinea is a Constitutional Officer under section 213 of the Constitution appointed by the Head of State. Section 213 provides for the independence of the Auditor-General in terms of planning, executing and reporting on audits performed by the AGO.
Mr George Sullimann was appointed as the Auditor-General in February 2005 for a six year term.
He has been with the Auditor-General’s Office since 1984, having progressed from audit trainee in 1984 to First Assistant Auditor-General in 2000.
During his time with the AGO, Mr Sullimann has attended numerous audit related training, workshops and conferences in the country and abroad.
He is a graduate of University of Technology in 1984, and University of New England, Armidale, Australia in 1996.
He is currently the Chairman, Accountants Registration Board (ARB)
